My Competition Journals

My wife sometimes thinks I'm nuts writing all this stuff down, but here are my experiences at various California competitions at which I've played. These will hopefully continue to be helpful—or at least interesting—for the pipers reading about these events.

My twenty-sixth competition on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Mt. Tamalpais Competition.
Due to wrist/hand problems (mild CTS/RSI), I haven't finished typing up Mt. Tam and also haven't competed or played much since. I'm recouperating very slowly, but I'll be back at it eventually.
-2008-
Still suffering from wrist/hand problems. "Overuse Syndrome" the specialist called it. I'm still doing a little practice chanter work almost daily, but no serious piping right now.
-2009-
Still ongoing hand problems, but not as bad as 2007, though I'm hardly playing other than small amounts of practice chanter work now and then. My only public performance was with a friend at a Burn's Supper in January.
